I’ve been having a rough time lately staying positive about the future of our earth, humankind, the vast and mysterious ocean, and the beautiful wild animals that I have seen and been mesmerized by.

I feel like everywhere I look there is mass consumerism, there are people drinking out of straws, and throwing away piles and piles of plastic and other waste – and it all just seems so unnecessary.

So hopeless.

Then I take a moment, I breathe deep and I try to remember:

It doesn’t matter what others are doing, it matters what you are doing.

Any maybe it doesn’t give me immediate relief, but it does help me to continue to do what is right in my mind, what is necessary in my mind.

And I am Hopeful that because of those of us in this world who are making  a change, who are living gently on our earth – there is still hope.

It’s easy to get down – but keep living your truth. Because at the end of the day every little bit helps, and being true to yourself is what will make you happy.
